All created beings including angels, demons (fallen angels) and humans, were created within a hierarchy. We cannot operate outside of our pay grade, and unless God gives us His grace, humans cannot sit upon heavenly thrones that were created for the angels, and left vacant by their fall. Demons are ever aware of this hierarchy and are able to engage us when we do not fill our roles or if we act outside of our authority. There is an order within the church as well as within the domestic church, or the family unit. On this feast day of Saint Padre Pio, a very masculine, spiritual and holy warrior for God, I discuss the fact that men MUST step up and fulfill their role as spiritual protector in order to combat the evils in our present day. The problems we are facing today will not be rooted out with a merely natural approach. Saint Padre Pio, pray for us!

What about those concerned Christians who are showing charity and love for neighbor by considering that not everything is as it seems. What about those of us who look at the whole picture instead of obsessing over a virus with come to find out, a very high recovery rate? Are we not doing the will of God? What about those of us who do not feel we can be a part of a medical treatment that uses aborted babies? Is that not Christian of us? Lebanon seems to be constantly in the news over the last couple of months. First due to an inevitable famine caused by economic hardships, then because of the terribile explosion in Beruit in early August that wiped out 85% of their grain supply, and now another fire. Lebanon is also notable in scripture. I believe we need to start paying attention to the signs of the times! Doctors that study PTSD have come up with programs and therapies to help us become more aware of what exactly is going on from a psychological standpoint. Regardless of the psychological progress we have made in this department, we should not discount the enemy’s ability to contribute to and mock PTSD. It is truly my opinion that PTSD was not so prevalent in previous generations because they were simply more religious and therefore had additional understanding and tactics to combat it, as well as spiritual battle buddies to call on for support. I stand by my thesis that the issues I personally suffer from are not only psychological but spiritual. The problem is it is sometimes hard to tell the difference. Ordinary as well as Extraordinary demonic influences can look like and even cause some PTSD episodes. While PTSD is a very real psychological condition, there is also a largely ignored and mostly hidden spiritual correlation to many of the causes and symptoms. This video discusses why Satan and his demons have a field day with combat veterans by using and mimicking PTSD and how they wage war against those of us who have been to physical war. I also describe some of my own experiences, and some tactics for how to combat the demonic. September 8th is the Birthday of the Mother of God! Mary is a powerful ally in the spiritual battle and our spiritual mother! Demons flee when she shows up and she goes to war for her children. Her perfect obedience and faith undid the death that Eve caused at the suggestion of Satan in that garden. A spiritual devotion to Mary is needed in this war. Mary is the distinguished and bright shining Star, lifted up above this great broad sea, gleaming with merits, giving light by her example. if you're caught between storms and tempests, tossed about in the flood of this world, instead of walking on dry land, keep your eyes fixed on the glow of this Star, unless you want to perish, over-whelmed by the tempest! If the winds of temptations surge, if you run aground on the shoals of troubles, look to this Star, call upon Mary! if you're tossed by the winds of pride or ambition or detraction or jealousy, look to this Star, call upon Mary! If anger or greed or the allurements of the flesh dash against the boat of your mind, look to Mary! And if you're troubled by the enormity of your sins, ashamed by the foulness of your conscience, terrified by the horror of Judgement Day, so that you begin to be swallowed up i the pit of sadness, the abyss of despair- think of Mary! In dangers , in straits, in perplexity, thing of Mary, call upon Mary. Let her name be always in your mouth and in your heart. And if you would ask for and obtain the help of her prayers, don't forget the example of how she lived. If you follow her, you won't go astray. If you pray to her, you won't despair. If you think of her, you won't be lost. If you cling to her, you won't fall. If she protects you, you won't fear. If she's your guide, you won't grow weary. AuthorI came home from Iraq in 2010 at the age of just 20 years old. like many of my generation, I struggled for years with trying to find my place in the world (sometimes with disastrous consequences). I often felt restless and that everything I was ever going to do paled in comparison to the war I had just been a part of. Oh how wrong I was. The Lord in all of his mercy woke me up to the fact that the most important battle I will ever fight is one that can't always be seen; The one for my soul and for the souls around me. It is against powers and principalities who influence the earthly enemies I had just encountered. Over the last 5 years or so, I have become intimately aware of this battle, and more importantly how to fight it! Although the weapons are different, the concepts are the same. My mission is now to share my knowledge with others, especially my fellow combat veterans who are struggling in the midsts of dysfunction or an identity crisis.
